A honeymoon near the beach is one of the most frequent types of honeymoon that most couples choose. The best time to visit the Cook Islands for your honeymoon is between May to November. At this time, the weather is wonderfully warm and dry. Between December and April, a more humid climate can be experienced and you can expect more rainfall in the islands at this time of the year.

People who have a New Zealand visa need not get a new one for a Cook Islands trip. You just have to make sure that your passport is valid up to six months upon the date of entry. You also have to ensure that you have a return trip ticket. If you possess these requirements, you can stay as long as 30 days in the islands. The currency in the islands is the New Zealand dollar. You can use your credit cards if you patronize larger stores and hotels. In Avarua, there are a number of banks that can assist you if you really need their help. ATMs are available in Rarotonga and Aitutaki.

Drinking in the sights around the islands can be achieved either by renting a car or taking the island buses. These island buses have a regular operation schedule at both ends of the island. To make a full circumference of the island, the bus only needs an hour to do it. While renting a car allows you to check put the sights more thoroughly, using the services provided by these island buses is more cost effective. If you want to take a trip to the outer islands, you can take the Air Rarotonga which is the islands' domestic carrier.
