Reading References

It comes as no surprise that children who are passionate about reading are more skillful readers. Reading habit is to be nurtured at a very young age .To improve our communication skill we need to develop the habit of thorough reading and research on topics related to the subject of interest. Many children become proficient readers regardless of how they are taught.

Communication skills require four things, ability to think, read, write, and speak. We improve our skills through reading that makes an impact on our gesture; command over language and most importantly on the ability to think. It takes our thinking at the peak level that reflects in our personality. Reading is an active mental process. Unlike TV, books allow using our brains and by reading, we think more and become smarter. Newspaper reading increases vocabulary with its meaning and then slowly we develop a habit of using in day-to-day life and that is we called speed reading strategies. Therefore, the basic step is to read the topic that one likes the most because it is important to develop the habit of reading that provides the depth of information about the subject and versatility.

Reading more books and exposing ourselves to new and more complete information, we will be able to come up with ideas that are more creative and innovative. For improving the grammar newspaper has puzzle games section that adds and world building that helps improves spelling, synonyms etc, and yet another way of speed reading techniques. Once we develop the habit of reading, we find that we read faster than ever before. Creativity is always in demand. More research on topics that are relevant to the subject plays a major part in one's life.

Scholarly reading has different strategies. Reading fluency training is vital for strengthening a student's comprehension skills. Children should have ample practice reading material that is not difficult for them to decode. This level of difficulty is referred to as the "independent reading level." Scholarly reading has different strategies it's very important to read a preface that provides information about the author's objective, the organizational plan, how the book is different from others, and the author's background and qualifications.

A curriculum that focuses on specific, appropriate, and practical learning strategies will best help students become proficient, efficient and independent readers. Children, who have more experiences of all types, have more background knowledge upon which to base their understanding of written material. Parents help their child develop reading skills when they visit the museum, the park and even the store. Parents and teachers should also read to students in order to help them create a stockpile of information that will facilitate reading comprehension. The best reading instruction teaches a student to access background knowledge while reading.
